The Hoosier Region Bid Tournament originally scheduled for April 30 – May 1 has been re-scheduled to the weekend of May 7 – 8, 2016. The event will be held at the Ignite Elite playing facility, the address there is 1516 N. Main Street, Crown Point, Indiana.
I apologize for the need to do this but it is necessary due to the USAV Northern Lights qualifier being contested on April 29 – May 1 and the possible HR trickle down bids that will come out immediately after that event that would impact our qualification event. Once again here are the bids for the Indy 2016 GJNC that will be awarded at our event:
1 American Bid in 18’s
1 National and 1 American bid in 13’s-14’s-15’s-16’s-17’s
1 National Bid in 12’s

* NOTE: It is unlikely but possible that a given division may have fewer than three entries. After formal entries are closed if a team is the only entry in an age division they will be awarded a bid without competition and their entry fee will be refunded. If only two entries are received in a division that awards two bids a decision will be made with those two teams whether to play one deciding match at the event or decide the National/American designation without play.

* Also please note that by entering this event you are declaring that if you win a bid you are committed to the Indy GJNC and are subject to the USAV sanctions that apply to turning down a bid.
We have the flexibility to use the IE facility both days or contest the event in one day depending on how the entries come in. Using AES we will open registration for the event by next Tuesday, March 15th and close entries to the event on Thursday, March 31st so please note that narrow window. This will allow us to format the event and notify you which age divisions will play on what day (or days) soon after your entry. (We are aware that Saturday, May 7th is a national SAT test day and for that reason it is our intention to not contest the 17’s or 18’s competitions on that day).
I understand that some of you are getting pressed on making hotel reservations for this event, there are numerous hotels in close proximity to the playing site located near the I 65 / US 30 interchange. Our intention is to get the specifics on who plays on what day back to you by 30 days out from the event, that way as long as you do not pre-pay any hotel reservations you should be able to book the weekend now and then if needed edit those reservations without penalty in early April.
Thank you,
Mitch Stemm, Commissioner
